UV-VIS is useful to characterize the absorption, transmission, and reflectivity properties of any sample (organic or inorganic). UV-VIS spectroscopy is routinely used to quantify the concentration of absorbing molecules in a medical device. It has limited use for identification of mixtures, because electronic absorption bands are overlap each other. Our UV-VIS instruments are capable of scanning the spectrum from 200 nm (far ultraviolet) to 700 nm (near infrared).
